A place on the web to save all your audio files

SoundCloud is a website that allows users to upload sounds in almost any format. It is also possible to record sounds directly via the web page tools (you will need a microphone). In short, upload or record.  The service is free but the number of free minutes that can be stored is limited to 200.  After this, users have to pay. Users also have to go through the tedious process of registering for an account.
Whilst SoundCloud seems to be mostly aimed at budding musicians it can also be used by teachers as a place to store sound recordings. Once you have opened an account you will have a URL that you can direct students to. Teachers could, for example record short texts which could be used as dictation practice by students.  Also, listening texts could be used with comprehension activities.  However, only the audio would be on the web site.  Any worksheets would have to be given to the students on paper and checked by the teacher.
