The Khan Academy
The Khan Academy has over 3,100 (and growing) videos on a host of academic subjects. The videos are instructional and seek to explain ideas or concepts
It is not designed for English language learners but does provide a wealth of authentic listening materials. Teachers could use the videos for listening classes and students can use them to improve their comprehension of spoken English.
Some of the videos have subtitles and some can be downloaded and saved. It is also possible to do some practice activities for some of the videos to check understanding of the content delivered. Users can post questions which appear under the video and other users can respond to the questions and try and answer
The majority of the videos are maths or science based but there are nevertheless a large number of humanities videos as well.
