Pronunciation of minimal pairs

The ship or sheep site deals mostly with minimal pairs.

1. Users select a pair from the 28 pairs (number 29 has three sounds) and click on the pairs which are written with some pink text.

2. A new window will open.  Mouse over the word next to the picture to hear the sound. Do the same for the other member of the pair to hear the contrasting sound.

3. Finish by listening to the tongue twister at the bottom of the page.

The pairs can be printed and used in class rather than online.
